About

Network security engineer Wayne Nordstrom has been working in the field of network and systems for more than a decade. He most recently served as a senior network and application security advisor for CVS Health, Inc., in Rhode Island. He began his career at Suffolk University as a desktop engineer and senior help desk professional. For three years, Wayne Nordstrom was responsible for providing the institution’s academic and administrative communities with technical support, including laptop issues and multimedia learning platform matters.

From this role, Mr. Nordstrom took on the position of network and endpoint security engineer at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, while concurrently studying for his CRT: Cisco Systems: CCNA Network Engineering and Security certification at Bunker Hill Community College. At Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, he directly supported more than 100,000 users, including students, staff and physicians, and tested and assessed systems hardware.

Mr. Nordstrom continued his career at Sanofi in Maryland and France as an industrial control systems security engineer IV. Despite only spending one year with the company, he designed and implemented HA secure networks for the company, in addition to implementing security controls within the business’ ICS and IT infrastructures. Following his tenure at Sanofi, Mr. Nordstrom joined CVS Health and spent another year handling network penetration testing and monitoring security alerts before returning to school at Cape Cod Community College for his AS in cybersecurity.
